I went to this salon on 5/31/16. This was my first time at this salon and I had Marina. We had decided to do a full head of highlights and I had showed her a couple of pictures for the color I had wanted. A cool champagne blonde. I got there at 10am and the entire three hours I was in her chair, she barely spoke a word to me except to figure out what I wanted and the 'could you tilt your head' type of questions. Additionally, the highlights were left way too long on my hair. I know this because I've been getting my hair highlighted for ten years now and my hair has NEVER been as damaged as it is now. I can't even run my fingers through my hair because of the amount of tangles and breakage in my hair. There's two to three inches of my hair on the tips that are completely fried and need to be cut off. My highlights are no where near the root. (I know you can't go all the way up to the actual root tip but you can get close) There's at least an inch and a half of unhighlighted hair which makes it look as if my highlights have already grown out. My hair is golden blonde and no where near the color I wanted. Marina had instructed the person who was washing my hair how to do the toner. So the person who did the toner put the toner in and then immediately washed it out. I know many toners have to sit for some time to be effective. I had to go to a different salon to get a conditioning treatment and another toner to even be able wear my hair down. The only pleasant experience about this was the person who shampooed my hair. She was super nice. That being said, I would never set foot in this salon again.

I loved everything from start to finish. Everyone was very nice and very helpful. It was a nice, relaxing atmosphere. I loved the hot towel they use when conditioning your hair. And Ashley was great! Couldn't be happier with my cut. I have been searching for someone to do my hair and do it well, but haven't had any luck... until now! I will definitely go back to Essentials!
Thought I'd write a review, people are so quick to be negative. I also had Marina as my stylist, she totally fixed the color another salon had botched. Things happen, she was super nice and made great recommendations on how to make my hair healthier and get it back to where I wanted. Booked my next appointment right after. Clean, nice salon with Aveda products. Highly recommended.
Both my daughter and I got a haircut and blow dry and we just love the great job our stylist did for us. Everyone is super friendly and they give you such a nice warm welcome! That is very important to me ;)
